Fullerton College Food Bank

Chris Lamm and Toni DuBois Walker Memorial Food Bank

The Chris Lamm and Toni DuBois Walker Memorial Food Bank provides supplemental food support to students experiencing food insecurity. The Food Bank provides students with fresh produce, shelf-stable foods, canned goods, snacks, hygiene products and diapers.

Spring 2025 Hours 

Monday: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. 
Tuesday – Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. – noon, 1 – 4 p.m.
Thursday: 1 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Friday: Closed

Location: Building 1900, Room 1955 (across from the pool)

Eligibility: 

    • Open to students currently enrolled at Fullerton College, there is no unit requirement. 
    • Students can visit once a week for groceries and once a week for snacks. For example, you can visit on Tuesday for groceries, then on Thursday for snacks. 

What to bring when you visit:

    • Valid Fullerton College ID card
    • Reusable bag, we do not have bags available in the Food Bank. 

Reminders:

    • First come, first serve: Arrive early to get the best selection! 
    • Variable inventory: Our stock changes weekly, so offerings may differ from day to day. 
    • Daily limits: These limits are in place to help as many students as possible access high-demand items such as milk and eggs. 
    • Supplemental resource: We’re here to support you, and can provide information on additional food resources if needed.

CalFresh

What is CalFresh? 

CalFresh is California’s versions of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). CalFresh provides individuals and families access to affordable, nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables, and more. Eligible students can receive up to $292 per month in food assistance, which is accessed through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card. EBT cards work like a debit cards and can be used at most grocery stores and farmers’ markets.

CalFresh Drop in Application Assistance at the Hornets Resource Center

The Hornets Resource Center offers CalFresh drop-in assistance both in-person and virtually. Services provided during drop-in assistance including helping with applications, submitting necessary documents, and answering general questions about CalFresh. 

 What to bring:

    • Proof of identity (CA Driver’s License, CA ID Card, Student ID)
    • Proof of income (Pay stubs and any other proof of income)
    • Proof of expenses (medical costs, child care, etc.) 
    • Proof of immigration status (if applicable)
    • Class schedule or financial aid summary

CalFresh FAQ's

Are students eligible for CalFresh?

Yes, many students are eligible for CalFresh. There are specific eligibility requirements for students such as enrollment in schools less than half-time, approved for work-study and plan to work, or participating in Local Programs that Increase your Employability (LPIE). Who is part of my household? 

A household is considered anyone you live with and buy at least half of your meals with. There can be multiple household that live together. If you are 18-21 and live with a parent/guardian, you have to apply for CalFresh together. 

Does financial aid count as income?

No, financial aid such as Pell Grants and work-study do not count as income. 

What happens during the interview?

A caseworker will follow up with you on the information provided on your application. They will also ask for any information that is missing. Be sure you let the caseworker know that you are a student and which student eligibility requirement you meet (i.e. enrolled in school less than half time, approved for work-study, participating in an LPIE, etc.) 

What happens if I miss my interview?

Contact your caseworker as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment.

Diaper Bank

Fullerton College Diaper Bank

The FC Food Bank Diaper Bank is open to all student parents enrolled at Fullerton College. Participants will receive 2 packs of diapers per child each month! We offer sizes from newborn to 7, as well as pull-ups in sizes medium (2T – 3T) to extra-large (4T – 5T). 

Please visit the Food Bank (Building 1900, Room 1955) to sign up and pick up diapers and/or pull ups.  

This program is made possible through a partnership with Community Action Partnership of Orange County.

Housing Assistance

Shower Facilities

Showers are available in the locker rooms located on the north side of Physical Education (Building 1200). Students can access showers during PE Division hours of operation.
